SpamKarma always emails me when it blocks spam so I can—if I wish—clear it. Only very rare cases of false positives. Lots of granular controls available. Manual blacklisting can be easily added. I use Askimet on my old "test" WordPress.com site, and it's been adequate there. It protects Wordpress in ways that MT-Blacklist only hoped to do for Movable Type. My only question about it is that the "prevented spam" seems to go up yet when I click on the Askimet queue, it never adds up.
